Direct Counsel is seeking two experienced Bilingual Spanish Litigation Contract Attorneys to support a top international AmLaw 10 firm.

The ideal candidates will have approximately 3–7 years of substantive litigation experience and professional fluency in Spanish. This assignment requires attorneys who can do more than conduct document review. Candidates must be able to analyze complex case materials, prepare clear and concise written briefs and summaries, identify significant legal and factual issues, and provide meaningful insights to the litigation team.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze Spanish- and English-language case materials

• Prepare case briefs, summaries, timelines, and written analyses

• Identify key facts, legal issues, risks, and potential case themes

• Provide substantive insights and recommendations to the litigation team

• Analyze pleadings, discovery materials, correspondence, and other case-related documents

• Conduct legal research as needed

• Assist with case strategy and preparation

• Communicate findings clearly and effectively to attorneys and other team members

• Collaborate with a sophisticated litigation team in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

• Approximately 3–7 years of substantive litigation experience

• Professional fluency in Spanish and English , including the ability to review, analyze, and summarize complex legal materials in both languages

• Strong case-analysis, legal-research, and writing skills

• Experience preparing legal briefs, case summaries, or substantive written analyses

• Ability to identify significant legal and factual issues and provide practical insight

• Excellent attention to detail, judgment, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Availability for the full duration of the assignment

• Active bar admission to the New York Bar.  

Assignment Details

• Openings: Two

• Hourly Rate: $70 per hour

• Overtime: Opportunities for overtime may be available based on project needs

• Duration: Approximately 3–6 months; possibility of extension of assignment or transition to permanent position.

• Schedule: Four days per week in the office, with Fridays remote
