Legal Support Assistant

What you’ll doWe're looking for a Legal Support Assistant to join our Property Litigation team in Exeter. This is an opportunity to join a busy and friendly team, providing support across a wide range of property dispute matters while developing your skills within a legal environment.Working closely with fee earners across our offices, you'll play an important role in helping the team deliver an efficient and seamless service to clients. You'll support lawyers with a variety of administrative, secretarial and PA duties, becoming a key part of the team's day-to-day operation.Your responsibilities will include managing diaries, preparing and formatting legal documents, handling correspondence, digital dictation, file management, liaising with clients and assisting with general administrative tasks. You'll also work alongside colleagues across the wider Property Litigation team and provide occasional support with departmental activities and events.This is a varied role that offers plenty of opportunity to learn, build strong working relationships and gain exposure to a specialist area of law, making it ideal for someone looking to establish and grow their career in legal support.Who you areWe're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working as part of a busy team. Ideally, you'll have previous administration or secretarial experience and be confident managing a range of tasks, often balancing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Experience in a legal setting would be beneficial, but it isn't essential. We're interested to hear from candidates who are looking to build a career in legal support and who can bring strong transferable skills from an office-based administrative role.You'll be a strong communicator with a professional and friendly approach, comfortable building relationships with colleagues and clients alike. You'll also be confident using Microsoft Office and other systems, with a willingness to learn new processes and ways of working.Most importantly, you'll bring a positive attitude, a strong team ethic and a genuine desire to learn.
