Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, you will have a range of responsibilities aimed at delivering high-quality treatment:

• Direct and implement physical therapy treatments tailored to clients, aiming to prevent disability and relieve pain while improving muscle function.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to the established treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' level of function using diagnostic assessments, evaluating muscular, joint, and functional abilities.
• Advise modifications to clients' home environments to enhance functional independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities including manual exercises, traction, and massage techniques, ensuring adherence to best practice standards.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices per patient needs and collaborate with physicians for necessary modifications.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to provide input on comprehensive care strategies and update care plans as required.
• Document patient progress meticulously through initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
• Educate and train patients and families on the use of physical therapy devices, as well as on overall rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

To be successful in this full-time Physical Therapist role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.

• At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a physical therapy role, preferably in outpatient settings.
• Current CPR certification, ensuring readiness for any emergencies.
