The Lead Facility Maintenance Technician is a key member of the team primarily responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems and environmental control systems in all departments of the location. The Lead Technician ensures a safe environment for our customers so that we are returning every traveler to the road better than they came!In this role, you can expect to:Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer servicePerform installations, inspections, repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical equipment, boiler systems and environmental control systems in all departments of the locationDo general repairs such as painting/caulking, patching walls, security hardware, roof repairs, pavement repairs, tile and floor repairs, hanging shelves, facility lighting and landscapingCoordinate the work of outside contractors to ensure scope of work is being performed correctlyMaintain appropriate inventory of material, equipment and suppliesTrain other Facility Maintenance Technicians and assist at other locations when requiredAssist in managing the schedules of the Facility Maintenance Technician teamCoordinate, assign, and inspect work for completeness of porters and housekeeping staffPerform other job related duties as assignedWhat we'd like to see:A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of our team!High school diploma or GED with vocational training in general maintenance and equipment repairDemonstrated ability in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilitiesAbility to operate machinery and equipment including tow motors, equipment and basic hand toolsHVAC, Electrical, and/or Plumbing certifications requiredA Plumbing or Electrical license strongly preferredAbility to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidaysWith us, you'll enjoy:Medical, dental, vision and life insurance401(k) with a company matchVacation and paid holidaysTuition reimbursementOn-site Meal discountsA wide variety of discounts on technology, travel, food and fuelOpportunity for growth and advancementNot all benefit plans are available to all team members.
