Business Manager - Production - Lockport

The Role As the Business Manager - Production, you will provide leadership for Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). You will be responsible for providing direction and assistance to the team. What You'll Do Champion of allocated BPD activities Plan daily/weekly production plan Make adjustments to the schedule as needed as a result of production problems Allocate manpower as needed Maintain shift safety by audits, observation and follow up of all incidents Discuss major downtime causes with maintenance daily and request corrective action Report shift status to area manager Coach and mentor group leaders and improve their general performance Ensure GM-GMS is followed Liaise with quality team to address any quality problems and co-ordinate countermeasures Support area manager to resolve manpower issues in conjunction with union Must be willing to work weekends and overtime based on business needs Understand and comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) 3 years of manufacturing experience Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed by the business What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) Leadership experience Highly developed oral & written communication skills High level of interpersonal skills Knowledge of radiators, condensers and primary parts areas High level of analytical ability Knowledge of and coaching experiences in Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) Demonstrated technical Compensation The expected base compensation for this role is: $96,200.00 - $153,700.00. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
