Pathologist Assistant

Location & Contract Pathologist Assistant – Los Angeles, CA. One‑year contract with possible flexible hours between 9 am and 8:30 pm. Salary: $50–$95 per hour. Job Overview Consulting Pathologist Assistant position. The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience in the role, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologist’s Assistant program, and must be eligible for or currently hold the PA(ASCP) certification. The role requires current employment as a Pathologist’s Assistant. Responsibilities Work under the supervision and direction of the Chief of Anatomic Pathology, Director of Operations, and/or Clinical Specialist – Supervisor. Describe, photograph, and gross specimens. Assist with frozen sections. Perform administrative functions including the preparation and maintenance of protocols, procedures, reports, data, and instruments. Execute additional administrative, budgetary, teaching, and other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologist’s Assistant program. At least one year of experience as a Pathologist’s Assistant. Eligibility to obtain PA(ASCP) certification within 12 months of hire.
