Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify a patient’s trauma history and formulate personalized treatment plans. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process traumas, develop effective coping strategies, and promote long-term healing. Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to coordinate integrated treatment that addresses the holistic needs of patients. Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and appropriate response advocacy. Educate patients and their families about trauma recovery, coping mechanisms, and available resources, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the treatment process. Maintain precise and confidential documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems. Engage regularly in case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress, derive insights for treatment, and drive collective knowledge sharing. Stay current with research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance clinical skills and improve patient outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus This role primarily focuses on serving individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, violence, and other distressing life events. You will support patients in developing resilience, processing their experiences, and rebuilding their lives. Our inclusive practice caters to diverse demographic backgrounds, highlighting our commitment to equitable mental health care. Qualifications A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts. Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment methodologies specific to trauma-informed care. Strong ability to communicate effectively and empathetically, maintaining a compassionate, non-judgmental approach. Preferred Experience At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health setting, especially dealing with trauma-focused therapies. Practical exposure to using therapeutic interventions tailored to trauma recovery and resilience-building. Experience with managing high-stress situations calmly while providing sound therapeutic support. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
