Counselors operate from their own home offices using telehealth technologies to conduct therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their backgrounds and mental health needs. Deliver tailored individual and family therapy sessions that address the unique needs identified during assessments, applying therapeutic techniques that promote healing and growth. Complete all necessary documentation, including billing, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, within requisite time frames to ensure streamlined operations and compliance. Develop and implement crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans to assist patients in maintaining stable functioning. Create detailed discharge plans to help patients transition smoothly when they are ready to conclude therapy. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, licensing laws, and Genworth Counseling Center policies to uphold best practices in mental health care. Engage in professional development through ongoing training and continued education to enhance skills and maintain licensure. Participate actively in case consultations and agency meetings to foster team collaboration and share insights on patient care. Complete all required licensure and mandatory training to ensure you meet professional standards. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families grappling with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your approach will be tailored to meet the cultural, social, and emotional needs of each patient, emphasizing a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where they feel comfortable sharing their experiences. Qualifications A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that qualifies for licensure. Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts. Preferred Experience Prior experience working in outpatient settings, particularly in telehealth or remote counseling environments. Demonstrated expertise in conducting assessments and providing therapeutic interventions across diverse populations. Familiarity with documentation and billing processes in mental health care. Compensation and Benefits Genworth Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with licensure and experience.
