Transportation Coordinator

Job Title

Serve as the main point of contact with the assigned school district, ensuring all concerns, issues, and inquiries are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

Communicate work orders and other messages between drivers, monitors, school district and parents.

Coordinate and assign drivers, vehicles, or equipment to specific locations based on predetermined schedules, customer requests, or urgent needs.

Interact with supervisors or school district to address issues, service requests, or equipment needs.

Ensure effective communication within company-designated areas.

Develop daily schedules and work plans.

Create and manage work orders for the crew or receive them from work crews.

Maintain and organize records of work requests, customer requests, completed tasks, service charges, expenses, inventory, and other relevant information.

Carry out additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with school districts, parents, drivers, and internal team members.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Proficiency in using telephones, two-way radios, and text messaging for efficient communication.

Familiarity with scheduling software and other relevant technology.

Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Willingness to obtain MA 7D Certificate preferred.

Proficiency in multiple languages preferred (English, Haitian Creole, Spanish).
