CT/X-RAY TECH POSITION

This is a CT/X-Ray Tech position. Primarily CT will be needed for this posting, but X-Ray experience is also required. Please do not upload a traveler to this assignment who would like to work in conjunction with another perm placement or travel assignment. • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and critical thinking.
• Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
• May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or NARH Facility Director. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required.
• May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel or as determined by Manager or Director.
• Excellent communication skills in written, verbal and Tiger Text format required.
• Practices infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems.
• Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR, CT, and PACs applications.
• Completes annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
• Maintains department competencies as required.
• Technologist will be required to perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks including IV insertion and injections.

Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted (less is better).

8hrs non-billable OT, Holiday Multipliers: 1.25%

• 2 years current CT/X-Ray experience [required]
• Previous Travel [REQUIRED] (at least 6 mos or more)
• Travelers with current agency experience (at least 6mos to 1 year or more) - [REQUIRED] (first time travelers with an agency will not be considered)
• Travelers working a concurrent per diem/prn assignment will not be considered
• Meditech Expanse experience [highly preferred]
• Travelers must be willing to consider other duties on assignment during low census (within scope of practice)
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
• Any/All RTO must be included in profile. ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION. Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer. Please obtain this information prior to submittal. Requests after offer may lead to rescinded offer
