BA Reporting/Dashboard Analyst

Job Title

Responsible for facilitating requirements gathering sessions with Subject Matter Experts and end-users for reports and dashboards, understanding the business needs, creating detailed requirements for reports and dashboards, providing the requirements to technical staff for programming, as well as testing, documenting and supporting the completed products.

Complete Description:

• Facilitates interviews with Subject Matter Experts and business users to elicit requirements for reports and dashboards.
• Analyzes existing reports and dashboards for enhancement, consolidation, or replacement.
• Creates detailed requirements for reports and dashboards including business rules, data mappings, visualizations, mockups, basic summary statistics and drill-down.
• Provides report and dashboard requirements to technical teams for development.
• Utilizes SQL to query raw system data.
• Analyzes raw system data to ensure report and dashboard requirements properly account for data issues and working with business and technical teams to improve data quality.
• Tests reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy.
• Ensures reference data is properly incorporated into reports and dashboards.
• Creates end-user documentation for reports and dashboards.
• Assist with the development of end-user training materials and conducting training on reports and dashboards.
• Supports end-users with reports and dashboards including troubleshooting and facilitating enhancements.

Relevant Work Experience: 5 to 8 years

Preferred Education: 4-year college degree
