We're seeking a dependable and compassionate Patient Service Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for patients at a busy outpatient medical office in Vienna, VA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, staying organized, and balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. You'll work closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure every patient has a positive experience from check-in to check-out. What You'll Do Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional experience Check patients in and out for appointments Complete patient registration and verify demographic and insurance information Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions and requests Maintain and update patient records within the EMR system Document and process information accurately using multiple computer applications Support physicians and clinical staff with administrative needs Balance front desk responsibilities, patient interactions, and phone support throughout the day Deliver exceptional customer service while managing a high-volume environment What We're Looking For Previous experience in a medical office, patient registration, medical reception, or healthcare customer service role Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable working independently as the primary front desk representative Experience using EMR/EHR systems preferred Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple applications Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Reliable attendance and punctuality Professional demeanor with a patient-first mindset Work Environment Collaborative team environment supporting three physicians and clinical staff Primary front desk point of contact for patients Approximately: 33% patient interaction 33% phone support 33% computer and administrative work Free onsite parking available Please note: Metro access is not practical for this location Schedule Monday - Thursday: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Why Apply? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vienna, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
