# Job Opportunity – Emergency Medicine Physician – Florida

**Start Date:** July 2026
**Location:** Florida
**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants
**Schedule:** 12-hour shifts including both day and night coverage; shared coverage across two freestanding emergency departments

**Highlights:**
– Provide emergency care in a 10-11 bay freestanding emergency department serving both pediatric and adult populations
– Patient acuity primarily Level 3 and 4 with occasional Level 2 cases; low admission rate of 2-3%
– Patient volume averaging 0.5-2 patients per hour with one EM provider on shift
– Electronic medical records training and 2 shadow days provided during orientation
– Contract extends through June 2027 with opportunity for split coverage between two facilities
– Collaborative support staff including nurses and radiology technologists

**Requirements:**
– Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
– Active or eligible medical license in Florida
– Procedure case logs required for credentialing
– Experience with diverse patient populations and emergency care protocols
