Senior Systems Engineer - Infrastructure (Onsite)

What You Will Do Capture, analyze, decompose, and trace system requirements. Design, develop, and model systems and subsystems. Develop and verify test procedures at the system and subsystem levels. Build complicated models using SysML for activity, state, block diagrams, and use cases. Use JIRA to decompose features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Support project level work and meet schedule, cost, and performance goals. Identify program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects. Represent aspects of the systems design at internal and external customer meetings. Support communication between functional discipline groups within the organization. Qualifications You Must Have Experience with network architectures using physical and virtual networks with VMware or other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle) in cloud and hybrid environments. Proven experience mentoring a team of systems engineers. Effective communication skills with all levels of management, program team members, and external stakeholders. Proven experience in systems engineering to capture customer requirements, develop operational concepts, derive and trace system and subsystem requirements. Degree in STEM and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued secret clearance. U.S. citizenship required. Qualifications We Prefer Current or active U.S. security clearance. Experience with model‑based systems engineering, including development of SysML models such as activity, state, block, and use‑case diagrams using tools like MagicDraw, Cameo, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect. Agile experience as scrum master, product owner, release train engineer, or other agile leadership roles. Knowledge of bidding and project estimation tools such as SEER products. Experience with peer review, configuration, and change management processes. Participation in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
