Civil Engineer (Federal) - Join a Growing Federal Engineering Team An established, employee-owned engineering consultancy is expanding its Federal practice and is looking to add a Civil Engineer to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career or mid-level engineer to gain exposure to a broad range of technically challenging projects supporting U.S. government and military clients. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects across federal facilities. Projects may include site development, grading and drainage, stormwater systems, utilities, pavements, master planning, training facilities, and other civil works . You’ll work alongside engineers and technical specialists from multiple disciplines and have the opportunity to be involved throughout the project lifecycle - from initial design through construction. What You’ll Do Develop civil engineering designs and assist with preparation of construction documents for federal projects. Produce and coordinate plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, design narratives, and other project deliverables. Support projects delivered through both design-bid-build and design-build contracting models. Use tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design software to develop and document solutions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Participate in construction-phase activities, including site observations, construction administration, submittal reviews, and field coordination. Assist senior engineers and project managers with technical studies, design development, and project delivery. What We’re Looking For PE Licence or EIT certification close to achieving PE licence. 4 years minimum of land/site development experience . Prior federal experience not required but would be beneficial. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight travel when project requirements dictate. Why Join? Compensation Base salary starting around $130,000 , depending on experience and technical expertise, plus bonus and ESOP participation .
