Global Procurement Manager

Responsibilities Lead global and regional sourcing activities with strong emphasis on North America to secure components at optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance. Drive price negotiations, commercial terms, and lead time optimization with current and prospective suppliers. Align sourcing strategies with the organization’s long-term growth objectives and profitability targets. Consistently deliver annual cost reduction goals through value engineering, supplier optimization, and alternative sourcing initiatives. Track and report on key performance metrics related to sourcing effectiveness and supply chain health. Support new product development by sourcing specialized materials, prototypes, and samples for emerging technologies. Manage supplier transitions, evaluate outcomes, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Stay informed on evolving manufacturing technologies and industry advancements relevant to high-volume production. Partner with internal teams (Project Management, Engineering, and Quality) to enhance overall supply chain performance and resolve material-related issues. Design and execute structured cost savings programs across the assigned commodity areas. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sourcing team. Be available for occasional international travel to support supplier audits, negotiations, and development activities. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. At least 10 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within a global manufacturing environment. Strong background in the Automotive or Consumer Electronics sector is required. Deep knowledge of electronic components and interconnect solutions is strongly preferred. Prior experience developing and managing international suppliers is a significant advantage. Proven track record as a self-starter with strong initiative, ownership, and results-driven mindset. Excellent negotiation, communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in both written and spoken English.
