Construction Manager

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to provide on-site oversight, coordination, management, and technical expertise for large-scale EPC projects within the electric power delivery sector. This role interfaces daily with discipline supervisors, subcontractors, and site safety personnel to ensure project specifications are followed and construction activities remain on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities include:

• Working closely with discipline supervisors and project managers to ensure crews and subcontractors are operating efficiently to meet project requirements, budgets, forecasts, and schedules
• Integrating safety into all project plans, reinforcing safety policies, supporting safety trainings, and correcting unsafe conditions
• Supervising total construction efforts to ensure productivity of craft labor, efficient use of materials and equipment, and achievement of contractual performance goals
• Reviewing subcontractor work packages and supporting execution planning
• Assisting discipline supervisors with scope development, technical questions, and problem resolution
• Systematically evaluating project progress against goals, schedules, and objectives
• Conducting daily site coordination meetings with subcontractors and project teams
• Ensuring environmental, regulatory, and safety requirements are maintained throughout construction activities
• Supporting start-up, commissioning, and testing activities during project closeout
• Performing additional duties as assigned while adhering to company standards, policies, and procedures
• Employee may be required to visit job sites, field offices, and customer locations

Qualifications include:

• 20–25 years of substation or related facility construction experience with a proven track record on large, complex projects
• Strong technical background in the installation and operation of high-voltage electrical facilities and associated systems
• Thorough understanding of construction methods, equipment, scheduling, cost control, safety, engineering coordination, and craft labor management
• Ability to lead teams in fast-paced field environments while managing multiple priorities
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 20 pounds, standing, walking, bending, climbing, stretching, and crawling in both office and field environments
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and uneven terrain
• Ability to travel periodically for site visits, field verification, and project activities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• Experience supporting EPC projects in the electric power delivery industry
• Experience managing subcontractors, field execution, and commissioning support activities
• Familiarity with utility, substation, transmission, or industrial power projects
