Sr. Materials Management Analyst

Job Summary: Oversees procurement of all Hospital supplies and equipment, utilizing all adopted contracts for purchases and maintains appropriate reports and records. Has substantial understanding of techniques, processes, procedures to perform the job and seeks to complete tasks in creative and effective ways. Works on activities of a diverse scope requiring minimal interpretation of policies and guidelines. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: * Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required

• Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
• Five years' relevant experience: Preferred

Essential Functions: * Manages hospital mail and supply distribution system and ensures interdepartmental/facility mail service is accurate and timely. Ensures mail systems are continuously monitored and reviewed to identify potential quality and cost improvements. Ensures departments have adequate quantity of supplies. Ensures physician courier service is provided on a timely basis to and from the hospital for mail, lab slips and specimens, and medical records. * Advises management of all supply conversions needed for contract compliance and works with the appropriate interdisciplinary group to accomplish compliance. Works towards standardization of supplies and forms within the hospital. Delegates ordering of routine supplies when necessary to accomplish certain management functions.

• Monitors and reviews inventory to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintains systems for tracking capital equipment budget and expenditures.
• Researches best pricing and product usage on a continual basis and

collaborates with end user concerning changes and/or substitutes are necessary. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
