Customer Service Representative

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Shifts vary based on operational needs and may include 10:00 AM–6:00 PM or 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
Introductory/Probationary Period: 90 Days

Position Summary

Makarios Logistics Solutions, LLC. is seeking a highly motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support our logistics operations. This position serves as an important point of communication between customers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and management.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates professionally, maintains accurate records, and can manage multiple priorities while providing a high level of customer service. Strong attendance and reliability are essential to this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Answer and manage incoming customer service telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer emails and other business correspondence.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry into Company and customer systems.
• Enter, update, and maintain shipment, delivery, order, customer, and operational information.
• Assist customers with shipment status, delivery information, scheduling questions, service issues, and other logistics-related inquiries.
• Monitor customer requests and follow through to ensure issues are addressed or appropriately escalated.
• Communicate with drivers, warehouse personnel, supervisors, management, and other team members regarding customer and operational needs.
• Assist with coordinating deliveries, pickups, appointments, and other transportation-related activities as assigned.
• Review documentation for accuracy and identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records as required.
• Research customer questions or service issues and communicate accurate information in a timely manner.
• Document customer communications, service concerns, shipment updates, and resolutions.
• Assist with resolving routine delivery discrepancies, scheduling issues, missed deliveries, damaged freight reports, or other customer service concerns.
• Monitor shared email accounts, customer portals, and other assigned communication channels.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer, employee, and Company information.
• Prioritize assignments effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment where operational needs may change throughout the day.
• Maintain a professional and positive working relationship with customers, coworkers, drivers, vendors, and management.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned based on operational and business needs.

Work History Expectations

Candidates should have an established and dependable employment history demonstrating reliability and commitment to previous employers. Employment history, including the circumstances surrounding gaps or shorter-term positions, may be considered as part of the overall evaluation of a candidate's qualifications and experience.

A demonstrated history of reliability, consistent attendance, and sustained employment is strongly preferred.

90-Day Introductory Period

The first 90 days of employment are considered an introductory/probationary period. During this period, Makarios Logistics Solutions will evaluate areas including:

• Ability to learn Company and customer procedures

Successful completion of the 90-day period does not guarantee continued employment or alter the at-will employment relationship.

Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is $20.00–$22.00 per hour , depending on relevant experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.
