Accounting Specialist

From accounts payable and receivable to reconciliations, billing, and month-end close activities, you'll be a key contributor to the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

What You'll Do

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring invoices, payments, and cash flow activities are processed accurately and on time.
• Maintain the General Ledger, prepare and post journal entries, and support accurate financial reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with billing, revenue recognition, and progress/FCO billing to ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing.
• Support month-end close by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain financial data within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper categorization.
• Prepare invoice support packages and customer billing documentation.
• Process payroll-related journal entries and assist with job costing activities.
• Track purchase orders and support expense management processes.
• Participate in financial reporting, process improvements, and special accounting projects.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP/AR, or related accounting experience.
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (Sage Intacct experience is a plus).
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Construction industry experience is a plus but not required.
• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
