Job Description Job Description Top Job Located in Yakima , WA Salary: $18.00 P/H JOB SUMMARY - Responsible for sandblasting parts to ensure a good base finish for parts to be powder coated, while using a manual spray hose. - Responsible for applying products with powder paint, while using a manual spray gun and automated coating system, ensuring high quality finishes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Read job orders and inspect work pieces to determine work procedures and materials required. - Load parts to be powder coated to paint line. - Use spray gun to evenly distribute powder coat onto parts. - Examine finished surfaces of work pieces to verify conformance to specifications; then retouch any defective areas. - Establish and maintain the safety protocols. - Assist in the cleaning and maintaining of tools and equipment, using solvents, brushes, and rags. - Maintain a clean and safe working environment. - Remove parts from the coating line and place in an appropriate place for assembly and/or packaging. - Load parts into blast booth to be blasted. - Daily preventative maintenance checks on machinery per SOP's. - Unload once completed and move into the Powder area. - Use sand blast equipment and blast parts to desired finish for painting. - Examine parts and surfaces to make sure all areas are clean of powder coat or rust and debris. - Load parts to be powder coated to paint line. - Assemble products according to instructions, prints, specifications, and quality standards. - Complete production paperwork accurately. - Other duties as deemed appropriate by supervisor and management. QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum High School or equivalent. - Powder coating experience preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT - Constantly stand and/or walk. - Constantly work in extreme environment, with proper PPE. - Must have hand/eye coordination with good hand dexterity; fingers need to be able to make small movements such as picking up small to large parts. - Frequently able to move, carry, lift 50 lbs Definitions: Constant (5-8 hrs/shift) Frequent (2-5 hrs/shift) Occasional (Up to 2 hrs/shift) #2517WA Express Office: Yakima 1021 South 40th Avenue Suite 1 Yakima, WA 98908
