Full-Time Inpatient Intake Clinician Signet Health manages the behavioral health services for Medstar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC) and is hiring a Full-Time Inpatient Intake Clinician. Tour of Duty Monday through Friday Responsibilities Provide direct clinical social work services to patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary team, emphasizing psychosocial assessments, group facilitation, marital and family therapies, program development, and development, implementation, and review of treatment plans. Maintain contact with nursing homes, medicalsurgical units, and other facilities and agencies to promote the program and provide education regarding available services. Communicate with referral sources regarding patient status. Participate in agency‑wide training programs and in‑services. Provide quality and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies’ requirements. Demonstrate interpersonal communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills. Treat patients with various psychiatric/behavioral health disorders. Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop interdisciplinary treatment plans. Be flexible and adapt to a fast‑paced environment. Apply effective problem‑solving skills. Display proficient oral and written communication skills. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years experience in an adult inpatient psychiatric unit and/or substance use facility, experience facilitating patient access to community resources, and conducting therapeutic groups. Must be licensed in DC as an LICSW or LPC. Demonstrated flexibility, strong problem‑solving, and proficient communication skills.
