Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 17 weeks) | Days | Onsite | Shifts available in 8-, 10-, and 12-hour increments; primary shift is 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM; must be flexible for occasional evening hours

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular OR cases including Open Heart, Vascular, Thoracic, General CV, and CV Hybrid procedures
• Work within a high-volume OR environment supporting approximately 55–60 cases per day across 19 surgical suites
• Participate in call rotation, including approximately every 7th weekend on call with a 30-minute response time requirement
• Rotate holiday coverage in coordination with permanent staff; maintain flexibility for scheduling needs
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with surgical teams, OR technologists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy staff available 24/7

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated proficiency in Open Heart, Vascular, Thoracic, General CV, and CV Hybrid cases
• Experience working in a high-volume, full-service cardiovascular OR setting
• Ability to take call with a 30-minute response time; willingness to cover weekend and holiday rotations
• Must reside within 100 miles of the facility per placement requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ability to scrub in addition to circulating (scrubbing preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma-equivalent, full-service OR environment including robotics and ortho/neuro cases
