RN ICU

The Registered Nurse in the ICU setting is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring comprehensive assessment, monitoring, and treatment. This role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse must hold current licensure in Colorado and have relevant critical care experience, with additional certifications required within specified timeframes. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for patient care planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status and interventions.
• Respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support as needed.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the care process.

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of two years' experience in critical care nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• PALS or ENPC certification required within 6 months if employed for that duration.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.

• Telemetry experience.
• TNCC certification.

• Work is performed in an intensive care unit environment.
• Must be able to work night shifts as indicated by the job title.
• Certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes after hire.

• Night shift schedule.
• Shift assignments based on departmental needs.
