Registered Nurse - Evening Shift

Location

2 hours from Boston, MA

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Evening shift from 3 PM to 11 PM or overnight from 3 PM to 7 AM. Must be willing to float to units based on experience.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents, monitoring changes in their mental and physical well-being, and ensuring proper communication with physicians and nursing staff. This role is integral to maintaining a safe and efficient nursing environment.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observe residents and document changes in their condition.
• Receive and transcribe physician orders accurately, ensuring all medications and treatments are administered as prescribed.
• Supervise and direct LNA staff according to licensing requirements.
• Perform routine checks on appointments and documentation, ensuring compliance with infection control practices.
• Initiate admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents, handling all necessary documentation.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding resident care and issues as they arise.
• Prepare and deliver reports on resident status and needs during shift changes.
• Oversee controlled medication management and ensure adherence to regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3+ years of current nursing experience within the last 6 months.
• IV certification required (must be willing to obtain during onboarding if not currently certified).
• Covid Vaccination is required; declinations/exemptions are not accepted.
• Active New Hampshire nursing license is required.
• Previous travel experience and rural/small facility experience is highly preferred.
