Candlewood Suites St. Charles is seeking an additional experienced, organized, and hands-on  Bilingual Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team. This is a working supervisor position requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to support daily housekeeping operations while maintaining IHG brand standards.

The ideal candidate is fluent in  English and Spanish , leads by example, and is passionate about delivering clean, guest-ready rooms and exceptional service.

While this position follows a regular work schedule, the successful candidate understands that leadership extends beyond scheduled shifts. The Housekeeping Supervisor is expected to monitor the overall operation of the department, address urgent staffing or operational issues when necessary, and ensure the department continues to meet company and brand standards.

This position requires a leader who is comfortable making decisions, coaching employees, and holding team members accountable for attendance, performance, productivity, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

$40,560 annually

Position Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operation, ensuring room assignments are prepared before the team arrives, inspecting guest rooms, maintaining inventory, coordinating laundry operations, and supporting the housekeeping staff throughout the day.

This position is required to report to work approximately 30 minutes before the housekeeping team to prepare for the day's operations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Arrive 30 minutes before the housekeeping team to prepare for daily operations.
• Create and distribute daily housekeeping boards before staff begin their shift.
• Prioritize departed rooms to maximize room availability and early check-ins.
• Assign daily duties to the Houseman, including public areas, trash removal, linen delivery, exterior cleanliness, and special projects.
• Inspect vacant, cleaned, and occupied rooms to ensure they meet IHG cleanliness and quality standards.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout both hotel buildings and public areas.
• Assist with laundry operations as needed to ensure adequate linen availability.
• Monitor and maintain housekeeping inventory, including linens, amenities, cleaning chemicals, and supplies.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up to ensure completion.
• Train, coach, and support housekeeping team members while maintaining accountability for performance and attendance.
• Communicate effectively with the Front Desk and Maintenance departments regarding room status and operational needs.
• Assist with cleaning guest rooms when business demands require.
• Ensure all safety procedures, cleaning standards, and company policies are consistently followed.
• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.

• Fluent in both English and Spanish (Required).
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience is required.
• Previous housekeeping  supervisory/leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel room inspection standards and housekeeping operations.
• Experience with inventory management and supply control.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties throughout the shift.
• Must be dependable and available to work weekends and holidays as business needs require.
