Personal Injury Litigation Assistant

Are you an experienced legal assistant who thrives in a fast-paced law office environment? You might be just what we're looking for as our next personal injury legal assistant. We need someone to assist our attorneys and paralegals with litigation cases throughout the firm. You'll be in charge of managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, scheduling meetings and travel, and informing our legal team of upcoming deadlines, among other responsibilities. Responsibilities Have a working knowledge of medical terminology and conduct legal research with the help of lawyers and paralegals Help prepare litigation documents like pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs, and proofread as needed Communicate with medical professionals, clients, and other suppliers in addition to expert witnesses Coordinate travel and vendors for team meetings and depositions Ordering medical and billing records and electronically filing in state and federal courts Respond to emails and phone calls, contact opposing attorney offices, take dictation, and inform the team of deadlines Qualifications 1-2 years of prior experience in a personal injury law firm as a secretary or administrative assistant Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment Organizational and communication skills are necessary for this position Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly #J-18808-Ljbffr Lloyd Baker Injury Attorneys
