Vice President of Operations

The Opportunity CCI is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Vice President of Operations to join our leadership team at an important point in the company's evolution. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Operations will oversee the corporate infrastructure that supports CCI, including corporate accounting and financial administration, payroll and benefits, human resources, compliance, risk management, technology coordination, and office operations. The position will also lead a small team of accounting, administrative, and operational professionals. VP Operations This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both building the strategy and making sure it gets done. The VP of Operations will serve as a trusted partner to the CEO and leadership team while remaining actively engaged in the day‑to‑day work of the organization. As CCI enters its next phase, you will have an opportunity to help shape how our corporate platform evolves—building strong, scalable processes without unnecessary complexity and ensuring the organization can adapt as new investment opportunities and business priorities emerge. What You'll Do As Vice President of Operations, you will lead CCI's corporate operations and continually look for ways to make the organization more efficient, accountable, and effective. You'll partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on organizational priorities while identifying opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology, automate work, and strengthen internal systems. Who We're Looking For The right person for this role is a business operator first —someone with strong financial acumen who understands how the different pieces of an organization fit together. You are comfortable moving between strategic and tactical work. You might spend part of your day discussing a business initiative with the CEO, another part reviewing financial reporting or cash flow, and another working directly with a teammate or outside partner to solve an operational issue. You're willing to dig into the details when necessary, but you also know when to step back, improve the process, delegate responsibility, and develop others. You are likely someone who: Takes ownership and follows issues through to resolution. Naturally looks for ways to make processes simpler, stronger, and more efficient. Is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment where not everything has a predetermined roadmap. Can introduce structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy. Exercises sound judgment and handles sensitive financial, employee, and corporate information with discretion. Communicates clearly and directly and builds strong working relationships across an organization. Holds yourself and others accountable while remaining collaborative and approachable. Enjoys developing people and building a strong team. Qualifications We're looking for candidates with: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, accounting, finance, or business administration. 5+ years of experience leading people and teams. Strong knowledge of corporate accounting, payroll administration, employee benefits, and corporate operations. Demonstrated experience building and improving processes, systems, and internal controls. Strong financial, analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving capabilities. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. A high level of professionalism, judgment, integrity, and discretion. Preferred Qualifications Experience in real estate, investment management, development, property management or a closely related industry. CPA, MBA, or similar professional designation. Experience with Yardi & Microsoft 365 , or similar business systems. Experience leading process improvement, technology implementation, organizational change, or operational transformation initiatives. Why CCI? The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000–$175,000 annually . Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job‑related factors.
