Sr. Accountant

DescriptionWe are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team based in Reston, Virginia. Being a part of our construction contractor industry, you'll play a crucial role in handling the full cycle of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties. Responsibilities:• Execute account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain the accuracy of financial records.• Manage and update the general ledger regularly.• Prepare journal entries and ensure they are accurately recorded in the financial system.• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately captured.• Operate property management software such as Yardi and MRI for efficient accounting processes.• Handle Cam Reconciliation to ensure accurate allocation of common area maintenance costs.Requirements• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry• Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations• Extensive experience in maintaining and updating the general ledger• Skilled in creating and managing journal entries• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis• Experience in month end close procedures• Familiarity with Yardi and MRI software systems• Proficient in Cam Reconciliation• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred• CPA certification is a plusPlease reach out to Mahil Santram via LinkedIn if your skillset matches this Senior Accountant position.Job typePerm
