You will be engaging with Manufacturing Engineers, Product Test Engineers, Design Engineers, Production Associates, Management and customers to assure product and process compliance, continuously improve processes, and meet organizational goals. What you will do:Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policiesRegularly generate and publish Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metricsFacilitate and lead cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure and leading Corrective Action Boards (CAB)Ensure identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) when necessarySupport work instruction development and maintenance activities by reviewing work instructions, test instructions, auditing processes, and assuring configuration managementDevelopment and maintenance of inspection instructions, ensuring inspection instructions meet the technical data package requirements and meet production needsRegularly interface with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)Daily status meetings with the factory support, factory management, hourly employees, and internal stakeholders to manage issueConduct weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality and facilitate timely red rack dispositionsWhat you learn:You will learn how to use and follow our Raytheon Quality Management System. This knowledge will be useful in any engineering position at Raytheon.You will also have the opportunity to train and become a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). This is an external certification that you can have within or outside of Raytheon.Qualifications You Must Have:Requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and typically 5 years of prior engineering experience.Experience reviewing schematic drawings as part of the assembly processExperience with quality tools (e.g. Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping)The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
