VP Construction, West Region

BrainWorks is currently retained on a search for a VP Construction (Installation), West role with a rapidly scaling engineering, construction and maintenance firm focused on specialty transportation infrastructure. The business has grown significantly since its 2020 launch (now ~$190M with strong margins and ~550 employees) and is widely regarded as one of the leading platforms in its space. The role has responsibility for a tea, pf 70, and will report directly to a Regional President and lead the construction/installation business across the West region (Denver-based). You will have full ownership across operations, safety & quality, project execution, materials & equipment utilization, team leadership and financial performance. This is a highly visible role with meaningful impact as the company continues to scale both organically and through M&A. Seeking broad-based individual – step above Director of Operations. Someone who can run a business, not just projects and simultaneously be respected by PMs and Supers. Financial + Operational Discipline is key! Strong knowledge of the construction/installation industry including estimating, contracts, materials, equipment, project scheduling and financial analysis required. Background in highway construction, civil and/or electrical construction (Horizontal Construction a Must!) Knowledge of the ITS and/or Traffic Signal construction/installation industries highly desirable.
