Staff Accountant

We are seeking a self-motivated Junior Staff Accountant to join our client in the real estate industry. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and have had an internship in a relevant Accounting or Finance role. This position will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, reconciling GL balances & bank accounts and assisting with invoice processing & posting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations for multiple balances.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account analysis.
• Ensure accuracy of bank account transactions for various business units.
• Process, verify, and prepare invoices and expenses.
• Assist with annual audits, tax preparation, and regulatory filings.
• Maintain documentation to support accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Participate in process improvements and contribute to efficiency initiatives within the accounting department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and accounting practices and ability to apply that knowledge to daily responsibilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and excitement to learn new systems.
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills to manipulate data and work with complex spreadsheets.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Self-motivated to work independently as well as being a valued member of a team.
