- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation of vendor statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and contract databases.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure all invoices are accurate and approved.
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support budgeting and strategic planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state and federal regulations related to accounts payable.
- Prepare and present reports detailing accounts payable status and other financial data as required.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues related to accounts payable.
- Work closely with other departments to improve processes, enhance financial transparency, and drive company-wide financial performance.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts payable role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial planning, and forecasting.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze large sets of data and compile detailed reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to high ethical standards.
