Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk (Contract)

Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Beautiful On-Site Office)

Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 / hour (Depending on Experience)  

The Gig We are a major, established leader in the commercial energy and logistics distribution sector, and we're seeking a high-energy Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team for a fast-paced, 3-to-4-month temporary assignment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Be the Payment Champion: Match up POs and delivery receipts to process high-volume supplier and vendor invoices accurately so our commercial partners stay happy.

• Play Financial Detective: Audit statements to hunt down missing credits and ensure our books match reality before month-end closing.

• Keep It Flowing: Help catch bottlenecks in our invoice approvals and keep workflows moving seamlessly.

• Guard the Gates: Review third-party invoices and employee expense reports with a sharp eye to keep everything policy-compliant.

• Be the Hero: Act as the friendly, go-to contact for vendors when they need a payment question answered fast.

Who You Are

• You have some solid AP/accounting clerk experience under your belt.

• You love a modern, open-office environment and vibe well with collaborative teams.

• You are sharp, detail-oriented, and can spot an invoice variance from a mile away.

• You’re ready to dive right in, make an impact for 3–4 months, and add an impressive name to your resume.

Responsibilities

• Timely & Accurate Processing: You act as the core engine for vendor payments. This means executing "three-way matching" (aligning purchase orders, delivery receipts, and invoices) and scheduling payment runs to secure early-pay discounts while protecting company cash flow.

• Review & Reconcile Accounts: You will audit vendor statements to catch missing credits or duplicate bills, and clear up outstanding balances on aging reports before month-end closing.

• System & Workflow Improvements: You modernize and speed up operations.

• Review Invoices & Employee Expenses: You will review and approve employee expenses and vet third-party invoices.

• Guide Internal Clients: Assist and guide internal clients with processing issues promptly.
