Up to $25/hour, dependent on experience. Every other weekend off, and shifts end by 7 PM. Cook for residents who'll know your name at The Shores in Ocean City, NJ.

The Shores, a United Methodist Communities senior living community, is hiring a Cook for our dining team.

What You'll Do

• Create and prepare quality meals that are appealing, well-balanced, and served promptly to residents and guests
• Maintain safe food handling practices throughout preparation, storage, service, and kitchen cleanup
• Use standardized recipes and serving guidelines to support consistency, minimize waste, and promote efficient operations
• Assist with meal service across dining venues, community events, catered functions, and special programs
• Help maintain an organized, sanitary, and safety-focused kitchen environment
• Contribute to a positive dining experience through teamwork and attention to detail

What You'll Need

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• 1–2 years of cooking or meal preparation experience
• Able to read recipes and safety instructions and communicate with the care team in English

Preferred:

• ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training

Pay & Benefits

• Up to $25/hour, dependent on experience

Schedule

• Full-time and per diem shifts available
• Choose 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Every other weekend, climate-controlled kitchen year-round
