Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for various warehouse operations including put-aways, loading, picking, and staging. You will also assist with rack teardowns and other ad hoc projects. This role involves a physically demanding environment, where you will be required to case pick products from multiple pallets, weighing between 10lbs to 60lbs, throughout an 8-hour shift. Proficiency in operating a Raymond stand-up forklift (Pacer) is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Raymond stand-up forklift for loading, unloading, picking, put-away, consolidating, stacking, and staging products and materials.
• Meet medium level physical exertion requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Learn and operate RF systems in a logistics environment.
• Perform basic math and reading tasks to complete necessary paperwork.
• Follow oral and/or written instructions accurately.
• Be open to cross-training for case picking to assist when needed.
• Follow specific work instructions and best practices for safe and accurate completion of daily work assignments.
• Support operational processes and procedures to ensure value to the customer and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation.
• Inspect pallets and cases for proper quantities, item brands, and lot codes.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management and identify process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security and conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating a Raymond stand-up forklift (Reach).
• Ability to meet physical exertion requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Basic math and reading skills to perform job tasks and complete necessary paperwork.
• Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and operate RF systems in a logistics environment.
• Open to cross-training for case picking.

Work Environment

You will work in a Warehouse Distribution Center, a dynamic environment that requires medium level physical exertion and adherence to safety protocols. The role involves lifting and transporting products using forklift equipment. Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm with OT.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Riverside, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
