NOW HIRING: Registered Nurse – Corrections

Location: Toledo, OH
Pay: $46.00/hour

Schedule: Full-Time | 2nd Shift
Hours: Wednesday–Saturday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM (10-hour shifts)
Days Off: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday

Job Duties:

• Work in a medical unit within an all-male correctional facility.
• One-building facility with two floors (must be comfortable with frequent stair climbing).
• Provide direct patient care, nursing assessments, medication administration (including controlled substances), and patient education.
• Perform specialized nursing procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, tube feedings, catheterizations, suctioning, phlebotomy, CPR, and other skilled nursing interventions as needed.
• Develop and update patient care plans while monitoring patient progress.
• Lead emergency "Code Blue" responses and provide direction to LPNs and support staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation, medication records, incident reports, inventory of controlled medications, and other required clinical documentation.
• Coordinate physician appointments, prescription refills, medical examinations, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Previous RN experience required – minimum 1 year.
• Comfortable working in a correctional healthcare environment.
• Ability to work independently while providing compassionate, high-quality patient care.
• Strong assessment, documentation, medication administration, and critical thinking skills.
