Lease Accountant

Accountant – Real Estate Lease Location: South OC, CA (Onsite; hybrid eligible after 90 days) Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Compensation: $95,000 – $105,000 annually (DOE) + potential bonus About the Opportunity Alliance Resource Group is working with a client in the healthcare space seeking an Accountant – Real Estate Lease to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and visibility into lease‑related costs across a real estate portfolio. This position plays a key role in managing lease accounting processes, supporting strategic decision‑making, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP standards. Key Responsibilities Perform month‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with ASC 842 Analyze lease agreements to determine appropriate classification (operating vs. finance leases) Prepare quantitative and qualitative disclosures for quarterly and annual reporting, including maturity analyses and weighted average lease terms Provide budget‑to‑actual variance analysis and actionable financial insights Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP‑compliant financial statements Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and acting as a primary point of contact Assist with ad‑hoc analysis and special projects as needed Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations and accounting standards Support process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or equivalent strongly preferred Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience and/or 2+ years in public accounting Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Experience with lease or real estate accounting preferred Healthcare industry experience is a plus Additional Information This role is based onsite in San Juan Capistrano, CA, with potential for hybrid flexibility after a 90‑day period Pre‑employment background screening required Compensation & Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Company‑paid life insurance Paid time off (vacation and sick leave) Professional development and training opportunities Access to onsite amenities, including a fitness center #J-18808-Ljbffr Alliance Resource Group
