Position Summary

The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the hotels food and beverage outlets including restaurants bars banquets room service and other F&B operations as assigned.

This position provides hands-on leadership to ensure excellent guest service consistent food and beverage quality proper sanitation and safety practices accurate cash handling and compliance with hotel and brand standards. The Food & Beverage Supervisor supports the Food & Beverage leadership team in achieving departmental goals while creating a positive and professional environment for employees and guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Food & Beverage Operations

• Supervise the daily operations of assigned food and beverage outlets.

• Ensure all outlets are properly staffed stocked clean and prepared for service.

• Monitor service throughout the shift and ensure guests receive prompt courteous and professional service.

• Ensure food and beverages are prepared and served according to hotel standards.

• Conduct opening closing and shift-change procedures.

• Assist with restaurant bar banquet and room-service operations as needed.

• Monitor guest traffic and adjust staffing and service levels accordingly.

• Communicate operational needs and concerns to the Food & Beverage Manager or Director.

Guest Service

• Provide exceptional service and create a welcoming experience for hotel guests.

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions requests and complaints.

• Resolve guest concerns within established guidelines and escalate issues when appropriate.

• Follow up with guests to ensure concerns have been properly addressed.

• Maintain a professional presence in all guest-facing areas.

Team Supervision & Leadership

• Supervise train coach and support Food & Beverage employees.

• Assign daily duties and ensure employees understand their responsibilities.

• Monitor employee attendance punctuality appearance and performance.

• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals specials events and operational updates.

• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to employees.

• Promote teamwork accountability and positive communication.

• Assist management with employee evaluations and disciplinary documentation when necessary.

• Ensure employees follow hotel policies and procedures.

Food Safety & Sanitation

• Ensure compliance with food safety sanitation health department and hotel requirements.

• Monitor proper food handling storage labeling temperatures and rotation.

• Monitor proper personal hygiene and employee appearance.

• Report equipment sanitation or food-safety concerns immediately to management.

• Communicate changes or special requests to the appropriate departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous food and beverage restaurant hotel or hospitality experience required.

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

• Knowledge of restaurant and hotel food and beverage operations.

• Strong customer-service and communication skills.

• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
