Material Handler – Odessa, TX

Location: Odessa, TX
Pay: $22.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Contract Length: Approximately 4 months, with potential for extension

We are seeking an experienced  Material Handler to support warehouse and manufacturing operations at a busy facility in Odessa, TX. This is a 4-month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.

The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, moving, staging, and organizing materials while maintaining accurate inventory and supporting daily warehouse and production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and properly store incoming materials and equipment
• Pick, stage, and deliver materials to designated production or work areas
• Load and unload trucks and assist with inbound and outbound shipments
• Verify materials against work orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and material movement records
• Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
• Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as required
• Safely move heavy or oversized materials throughout the facility
• Identify damaged, missing, or incorrect materials and report discrepancies
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment
• Follow all company procedures, safety requirements, and PPE guidelines
• Coordinate with warehouse, production, shipping, receiving, and other departments as needed
• Perform additional material-handling and warehouse duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous  material handling, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience required
• Experience in a  manufacturing, industrial, oil & gas, or similar environment strongly preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to accurately read work orders, labels, packing slips, and inventory documentation
• Basic computer and data-entry skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the full Monday–Friday schedule
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move materials as required by the position
• Comfortable working in a warehouse/industrial environment
• Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toe footwear

This is a 4-month contract position with the potential for extension. Candidates with material handling experience in manufacturing, industrial, or oil & gas environments are encouraged to apply.
