If you consider yourself a skilled and dedicated professional seeking a rewarding opportunity with an established medical imaging facility, we invite you to apply.Position SummaryThe PET/CT Technologist is responsible for providing patient care services by performing CT exams in a safe and productive manner that prioritizes patient safety and information security.Essential Duties ResponsibilitiesPerform PET/CT scans on patients in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines while providing utmost care.Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring accurate dosage and adherence to radiation safety standards.Monitor patients during scans, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the procedure.Quality and regulatory requirements, including radiation safety protocols and patient confidentiality.Operate and maintain PET/CT equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine quality control checks.Collaborate with physicians to obtain and interpret imaging data.Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures, observations, and any adverse reactions.Ordering of supplies.Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.Meets regulatory requirements for licensures/certification renewal and complies with Tower's in-service training, attendance, punctuality, uniform, and dress code.Maintains utmost confidentiality in handling company and sensitive patient information, documents, and films/CDs. Tower Imaging Valencia is a proud partner of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and as a team strives to provide the most convenient service in a compassionate and comforting environment.We appreciate your interest and look forward to reviewing your application.RequirementsBoard Certified in Nuclear Medicine: NMTCB (CNMT) or ARRT(N)Radiography ARRT(CT) or ARRT(R)CA State licensure required in Nuclear MedicineQualificationsValid certification as a PET/CT Technologist.Proficiency in operating PET/CT scanners and associated imaging software.Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceutical administration and radiation safety protocols.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and image interpretation.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of blood borne pathogen requirements.Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.Ability to work flexible schedules as needed.Strong organizational skills, problem solving skillsPhysical Requirements and ExposuresFrequent standing, walking, and sitting, occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.Hand and finger mobility for use of reaching and manipulating keyboards and other imaging equipment.Occasional lifting of materials weighing up to 30 pounds.Clear hearing and speaking voice sufficient for face-to-face and telephonic communications.Clear vision, with or without correction, for near and far work, sufficient to operate office and medical equipment. Color vision is required.Demonstrates, observes and complies with Tower safety, infection prevention and control policies/ procedures; use of required personal protective equipment.Exposure to potential hazards such as radiation emitting equipment, extreme heat or cold, chemicals, bio-hazard waste and sharp instruments.Noise level: typical of an office and medical clinic environment.Additional InformationMust be willing to work overtime when requested and authorized.Responsible for completion of continuing education credits sufficient to retain current licensure at own cost and on own time.
