Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Outpatient/Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of same-day surgery experience required License: RN license Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Strong assessment, IV, and patient education skills - Experience in admitting and discharging surgical/procedure patients - Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia care experience - Ability to multitask and effectively communicate with team members - Experience working in a rural outpatient facility preferred - Ability to prepare operating rooms for surgery, not just patients Description: Please do not upload a traveler who would like to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment. Please do not upload a traveler who is going to request schedule accommodations. This role is primarily in the PACU, with responsibilities to assist in the operating room as needed. The surgical services department consists of two operating rooms and a procedure room. The unit provides care for adult and geriatric patients, often focusing on outpatient procedures with limited inpatient care. The registered nurse is responsible for admission and discharge processes, including conducting nursing assessments and providing phase I and II post-anesthesia care. Time management and customer service skills are essential. Requested time off during the assignment must be noted prior to submission. Requests after the submission may not be approved. Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two blocks during key holiday periods. Candidates must have their own vehicle due to lack of public transport. A very detailed profile, work history, and skills checklist are required. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Travel experience is highly preferred.
