About the Role

The Tax Preparer & Reviewer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing a variety of tax returns, conducting tax research, identifying tax planning opportunities, and collaborating with advisors and partners to deliver exceptional client service. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys building client relationships, taking ownership of engagements, and contributing to a growing advisory-focused firm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, S-corporation, trust, and nonprofit tax returns.
• Analyze financial information and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning strategies for clients.
• Review tax returns prepared by staff and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct tax research and assist with resolution of tax notices and client inquiries.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and information requests.
• Collaborate with wealth advisors and firm leadership on integrated planning opportunities.
• Assist with year-round tax planning initiatives and client consulting projects.
• Stay current with federal and state tax law developments.
• Maintain strong adherence to firm quality control and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA license or CPA candidate preferred.
• 3-5 years of public accounting tax experience.
• Experience preparing and reviewing a wide range of tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
