Full time positions at 6.5 hours/day. Duties: Per the attached job description. Effective Date: August 2026. Salary: Following the HVESPA Salary Guide, ranging from $26,989- $35,219. Benefits: Full-time staff are eligible for medical, prescription, and dental benefits. Sick and personal days are included. Fingerprint background check required. Open until filled. Paraprofessional

Qualifications: High School Diploma or the equivalent thereof. 2 years of college desirable. Reports To: Assigned Teachers and Building Principal. Job Goal: To assist the teacher with the preparation and paperwork to enable such teacher to plan and develop a comprehensive program of instruction for each pupil, and to provide more time for one-to-one instruction and supervision.

Performance Responsibilities

In order to fulfill his/her professional responsibilities, the Classroom Special Education Paraprofessional shall:

• Work on an individual or small group basis with the classified students under the direction of the teacher.
• Review material and skills from the unit being taught via work sheets and other teaching aids.
• Instruct individuals or small groups on the proper use of technology.
• Aid students in writing reports.
• Review material for upcoming tests.
• Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials.
• Correct student's work.
• Work with students on their organizational skills.
• Review homework assignments with students.
• Keep records up-to-date on all students.
• Keep abreast of materials that are to be discussed or taught.
• Help students develop ideas and guide them in writing.
• Proctor pre and post exams.
• Assist in communication between special education and general education teachers.
• Perform other duties within the scope of his/her employment as may be assigned.
