The Stoneleigh has recently completed a $20.0M renovation, and has relaunched as part of Marriott's prestigious Autograph Collection. All 176 rooms and public areas have been renovated, including our restaurant, Lions Den, and our bar, Bar Leonessa. Lions Den is the new home of the next restaurant from awarding-winning chef, Chef Michael White. Chef Michael White has many culinary accolades including the James Beard award; 5 simultaneous Michelin stars; and multiple New York Times 3-star and 4-star reviews. Chef Michael White's concepts at The Stoneleigh include, the Lions Den, where each dish is composed with care, weaving together seasonal ingredients, global inspiration, and a distinctly Dallas spirit. Lions Den will be opening on May 1st, 2026.

Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Hard Surface Maintenance: Strip, wax, seal, and burnish hard floors (e.g., VCT, tile, concrete) to maintain a polished, professional appearance.
• Carpet Care: Vacuum, spot clean, shampoo, and perform hot-water extraction on carpets and upholstery.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate, clean, and perform routine preventative maintenance on industrial floor care equipment like buffers, auto-scrubbers, burnishes, and extractors.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, use wet-floor hazard signs, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working with heavy chemicals.
• Supply & Inventory: Mix chemicals properly, handle chemical dispensing units, and alert supervisors to supply shortages.
• General Upkeep: Assist with heavy trash removal, moving furniture before and after cleaning, and addressing general facility maintenance requests.
• Performing tasks on furniture like structural repair, surface refinishing, and upholstery restitching.
• Perform burn-ins, sand, stain, and mix custom colors to match wood grains and hide scratches, dents, or splits.

• Hotel experience preferred.
  
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  
• Can communicate well with guests.
  
• Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations.
  
• Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
  
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.
  
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
