Physician - Psychiatry - Consult-Liaison Service

Psychiatry - Consult-Liaison Service to Hospital & ED A talented Psychiatrist is needed to provide diversified emergency department and hospital-based consultation-liaison (CL) psychiatry services in support of Southcoast Department of Psychiatry and Southcoast Physician Group under the rules and regulations of Massachusetts medical practice. Hours & Schedule Full-time 8:00 A - 4:30 P. Day shift only – no weekend, holiday, or on-call coverage. Limited paid weekend/holiday shifts in rotation with other department clinicians. Location Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA Responsibilities Diversified emergency and hospital-based CL psychiatry services. Proactive team-based model with behavioral health dedicated Community Health workers and RNs to support patient-centered approach. Active management and disposition services in collaboration with medical and social services teams. Clinical supervision of APPs providing ED and CL services, along with other MD staff. Develop programmatic leadership initiatives with Psychiatry and institutional leadership for expansion of services to address Substance Use Disorders, geriatrics, and ambulatory consultative services. Represent psychiatry in institutional committees (Bioethics, Quality Steering Committee). Collaborate with external academic partners (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brown University, Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston Medical Center). Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited institution. Board certification/eligibility with completion of a US residency. Current state medical license and DEA registration. Demonstrated clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and effective communication skills. Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary with productivity-based incentives.
