Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Fri: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Sat: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support within a government corrections location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site leadership and/or public agencies as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security‑related concerns. Monitor entrances, movement areas, and/or restricted locations while verifying credentials, observing for unusual behavior, and reporting policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance issues. Support intake, escort, and/or transport‑related activities when assigned, following post orders and use of force guidelines while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
