Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Driver in Troy, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions, and report suspicious behavior, contraband concerns, and/or unusual conditions according to post orders.
• Support security-related operations by maintaining a visible presence, following use of force guidelines, and assisting with controlled movement, inspections, and/or incident follow-up as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
