Duration: 6 Months with possible extension
Location: Wilmington, MA (#LI-Onsite)
Pay Range: $53.00-$57.05 Per hour

This role involves operating and programming advanced CNC machinery to create precision parts from engineering designs. You will translate CAD models into manufacturing processes, ensuring quality and efficiency in a rapid prototyping environment. The position requires hands-on machining expertise combined with programming skills to support hardware product development. Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate multi-axis CNC mills and lathes.
- Develop toolpaths using CAM software from 3D models and drawings.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
- Perform first-article inspections and adjust programs for required tolerances.
- Manage machine setups, tooling, and basic maintenance.
- 5+ years as a CNC machinist with CAM programming and operation.
- Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or Siemens NX.
- Experience machining diverse materials including aluminum, steel, and plastics.
Candidates should possess experience in advanced manufacturing environments, ideally within industries that require high-mix, low-volume prototyping such as robotics, aerospace, or medical devices. ABOUT AKRAYA
