About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night/Day rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty required. License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Must have at least 18 months of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience. - Must have active required certifications in hand at time of submission. - One reference from a manager or supervisor in the specialty applying for is required. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting. The nurse will provide care for patients with a variety of diagnoses. There is a potential to float to other units that care for the same patient population. Rotating shifts are 7pm to 7:30am and 7am to 7:30pm. Shifts may be variable based on the operational needs. The candidate must be willing to work every other holiday. An ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate test will be completed during orientation, and acceptable scores are required. Travelers must adhere to compliance requirements, including a drug screen. A background check will be reviewed, and open cases will not be accepted. All travelers must be nicotine-free, with specific exemptions for certain roles. Candidates cannot return to this facility for one year after their previous end date. Modules are required annually and are billable for up to four hours. Candidates may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, with a six-month break required before returning.
